Reflecting on 4e via Someone Else’s Houserules

I found a mirror with which to reflect upon what I wish 4e would have been. By mirror, I mean someone else’s blog post.Rule 8 is alright, but rule 9 just works for me. Ups the difficulty a bit.

The Beginnings of a DF Succession Game

The semester’s coming to a close, and I’ve got that dwarfin’ urge comin’ over me.  I’m starting a DF “succession” game with my friend Garrett (AnUnfortunateSquig).  We’ll be rotating control of the fortress on a yearly basis.
Summary of this Warm 3×6 region:
Mountain and Tropical Freshwater Swamp
Felsite, Obsidian, Gabbro on the mountain (untamed wilds)

During my tri-weekly visit to Penny Arcade, I found a nice link for new aspiring Dwarf Fortress players.  The Complete and Utter Newby Tutorial for Dwarf Fortress is a 12-part series of walk-throughs that should be able to help any dwarf get started fortressin’.
Also, awesome to finally see DF get a mention on PA.

Dwarf Name Generator

Some anons over at /tg/ just posted a table for randomly rolling dwarven names so I PHP’d up a nice little script for all to enjoy.
