Like a papyrus zombie, my character sheets have returned! Why settle for those fancy official character sheets that burn through your ink, and don’t even have the decency to make optimal use of the space on the page? Perhaps a more practical character sheet is in order!
CBPye’s Rogue Trader Character Sheet
It uses a landscape layout, no color, and unlike my Dark Heresy character sheet, this one requires only one fold, down the middle. Sadly, I didn’t have the space on this one for the handy quick-reference section*. Consider this sheet a rough draft. Print it, try it out, take it to a few sessions, and come back to comment and tell me what you and your group think about it.
*UPDATE – quick reference added after, oh, two seconds of work. WTF was I thinking.

Thank you for this character sheet, my players found it very useful and readable. However, I noticed that the skill Commerce was missing in the list.
I’m a french game-master, and not all of my players can read english fluently. I’m wondering if the base document of the character sheet was available to translate it ?
Thank you again, and keep ding sheets like this one !
Thank you for bringing that to my attention! I’m busy searching for a job right now (or rather, I should be), but I’ll be sure to fix that when I get around to making the new version. Even my friends weren’t as keen on my Rogue Trader sheet as they were for my Heresy sheet, and for good reason — its just missing something.
And a french translation sounds awesome! I’ll send you the file once I get it ironed out.
Another idea that I had that would possibly make the sheet more usable are dedicated spaces for Weapon Training Talents and Resistance Talents (in the style of Lore skills.
I was gonna mention the commerce skill thing, but, it has been pointed out already.
Personally, i also love the pamphlet fold–however, (and this may be because of my printer settings) I found that when I folded it, some of the lines from the skills, gear and acquisitions sections carried across the fold. . .agaqin, maybe my printer settings are to blame. . .
Why are some of the skills already crossed? do all players egin wih them automatically, because ive never seen all players starting with swim, or is is for the basic but not advanced ones? Also, would you know of a tutorial of how to fill in/advance the skills? ive had alot of trouble understanding both this and the official character sheets about this.
