Hello again, everyone! Yes, I’m late with the conclusion to the Inquisitor’s Handbook review. I promise that it is forthcoming, but things are a little hectic here now. This quick little post should hold you over until I then.
First up is a little information from FFG regarding the contents of the Radical’s Handbook. The book is set to contain a bevy of options tailor-made for those acolytes who find themselves in the service of a radical inquisitor; such players will may find such proscribed things as xenos weapons, daemon weapons, daemonhosts, and even sorcery. Many new background packages and player options will also be present. Hopefully they’ll be a little more sensible about the power level of the background packages this time around.
Next is a much-appreciated art preview for the Radical’s Handbook. As usual, the artwork for these books is shaping up to be incredible. That rough look that was present on many of the sketches in the Inquisitor’s Handbook simply won’t be present in this book; the Navigator has set our course for Quality.
Finally, we are treated to a Designer’s Diary entry from Rogue Trader developer Owen Barnes. Owen takes the time to emphasize that the destiny of a Rogue Trader is very much in his own hands; not at all like the lowly acolytes of the Inquisition. Oh, and you’ll have a valid player option to “nuke the site from orbit.” Truly, that is the only way to be sure.
In closing, a friendly reminder: free RPG day is this Saturday, the 20th of June. I’ll be making my way down to Morningstar Games (of Savannah, GA) for that free introductory Rogue Trader adventure, and I recommend that you also go down to your friendly local gaming store to do the same.
