Direct your attention to this Slashdot story. This is the follow-up to an earlier story stating that, apparently, the US Military’s drone network had been compromised by a virus. Turns out it might just be their own monitoring software.
These are the same people trying to convince us that we’ve got a serious CYBERWAR threat staring us in the face. They can’t differentiate their own software from a virus.
So either these clowns can’t assess a threat to save their life, or the scale of the cyberthreat is completely out of our military’s league. In either case, alarming the populace about it will accomplish nothing and is probably nothing more than a political ploy to enact draconian wiretapping and anti-encryption legislation.
